How often should you bathe a newborn?

My daughter got a bath once a week unless she really needed it. I always worried about bathing her too much.

My mom used to bathe us once a week while sponge cleaning the very sweaty parts of our bodies each day. It worked great and my hubby and I are planning to do the same thing. (Kids not here yet but I've helped out with all my little cousins and it's seemed to work for them too) . Just find what works best for your baby. Just don't wash too much.

It depends on the season and the baby! If it's summer I'd say more often because it's usually hot and they sweat and it's less likely for them to catch a cold (nothing feels better!) but it also depends on how "stinky" your baby gets (poo, pee, barfs...etc) I just couldn't stand my blooming flower smelling like a drunk old guy!! 😂😂😂😂

When they need it! Our first did explosive poo so she had a lot of baths! She also got reflux, and being in a bucket of warm water (tummy tub) really helped her.
Our son didn't need it so much. 4 times per week max.

My son never spits up so I bathe him about once a week maybe more or if he just really stinks. Mommy usually knows what's best for her baby

If the baby smells of spit up then give him or her a bath. But no soap!! Babies that age don't need soap yet. Of course a very very small amount is okay maybe once a week but don't soap baby up every bath. Newborns are super sensitive so if you can skip the bathing then do. Once in a while is just fine.

It depends some need it every day BC they smell bad by the end I'd the day especially if they spit up. Plus some babies love to get it every night it helps sooth them before bed.
