Dreft or regular laundry soap?

I've read different articles and most of what I have read has said it's completely okay to wash baby's clothes in the same laundry soap that mom and dad use, as long as baby shows no signs of allergic reaction. What are your thoughts?

I make my own detergent (recipe below) and use it for all of our clothes. My baby's never had a problem.

I'm starting with Dreft but may switch to regular soap once she's here, not gonna lie, I love the smell of the Dreft and wouldn't mind using it on my own clothes though!

I'll use Tide free and clear. I can only use Tide myself because I'm allergic to practically  everything else so I'll switch to free and clear once baby comes.

I have sensitive skin myself, so I only buy detergent without perfumes, dyes, etc. I like the Arm & Hammer kind, but sometimes I also get other brands, including the organic brands, especially if I find them on sale. Now that I am having a baby I feel like that's actually an advantage for once because we can wash everything together.

Since I'm reusing things from my first son and it's been in storage for a couple of years I'm washing everything in dreft first and then I'll start washing everything in the same detergent we use.

Agree with starting with Dreft for the smell, but we use free and clear detergents after a couple months.

I used Purex Baby with my first daughter and continue to use it with my new baby.  It smells exactly like Dreft. I love it!

I use ALL free and clear I really like it and trust it and you can get free and clear fabric softener also
