19 and 38...is that too big of a gap?

Anyone in this situation, can you give me pros and cons? I've dated a guy 10 years older than me, but this is almost 20...

He's nearly old enough to be your father! I'm 22 and my dad is 40! I can't imagine dating somebody my fathers age.

Yes 19 and 38 is too big of an age gap. Your still a child just out of high school or entering your sophomore year of college. Just now getting a taste of the real world and starting to enter a career based path. In the adult world you are the bottom of the totem poll basically.  While a 38 year old man is one a middle aged man who has his life and career set in stone, probably has children close to your age and been married once or twice. He's out being an adult supporting himself and has been for a long time now. 
To tell if an age gap is too much too at when they were 18 that was 20 years ago for a 38 year old man. You were not even born yet when this man was a legal adult running around having sex and driving. And to give a better though when he was 21 drinking and going to bars you were 3 or 4. Just think about it and let it sink in.

It's not too old. My comment is geared towards anybody younger than 30, that has not had those years to explore dating around. Which is a experience that is needed in order to appreciate and better understand who you are, what you need, and should settle when in a relationship. Example. My boyfriend is 22 years see than me. But I'm 34. I know I am needy yet independent. He compliments this. Accepts it.  Guys my age would say "high maintence and crazy".

Im 24 my SO will be 39 on halloween. We've been together 6 years. Im mature beyond my years & he is the love of my life. I was 19 when we met & he was 33 & i swear it was love at first sight ! We have had some struggles but i wouldnt change it for the world !!
