Refinishing hardwood floors...

Today we got our salon (big living room) floors refinished. Oh my GOSH it smells horrid. I only stayed in the house (well, on our balcony) during the sanding portion and left as they started the staining. My poor husband had to wait there till they finish! Anyway, we're staying elsewhere till it's clear, maybe 3 days. Anyone else do this while 6mths preg? Do you know how long I should wait till the fumes are gone/safe before sleeping there again?
