Success with membrane sweep?

Just had my membranes swept as my 38+3 appointment.  Does anyone have any success stories?

With my first pregnancy I had a sweep on a Friday afternoon. I was fairly active on Saturday then Sunday my husband and I walked the whole grocery store and I walked on the treadmill for maybe 20 minutes after that. Hours later the contractions started and I had my daughter 2 am Monday morning!

I had mine swept at 41 weeks. She was born 9 hours later!

I went into labor about 8 hours after having it done.

I had a membrane sweep with all three and I went into labor 2 days later. Not really active, just the regular day to day move and groove

My gf she just had her baby she had this done on Friday and then Friday night she went in with contractions her water broke at 5 am sat and the baby was born at 12 on Saturday.

Ladies. I've been having. Horrible menstrual cramps every 3-5 mins now. It's started about an hour ago. They are getting intense but not unbareable. I just went number 2 as I feel the need to go really bad.  I'm hoping this is it.

Is that the same as getting your membrane stripped? If so, I had it done with my first and went into labor at 3am the next day and water broke at 4am. Good luck!
