Heartbeat?

I'm 9 weeks 1 day and have my appointment in a couple of hours. I'm curious if I'll be able to hear baby's heartbeat. I know the ultrasound a couple weeks ago showed a 140 beat, but I want to actually hear it!!! Have any of you heard yours by now?

You should be hear it most doctors will check heartbeat at every visit.

Well we saw baby and heartbeat on the ultrasound machine! He did inform me that it can strain the younger ones too much to turn on the sound so we will hear it the next visit! I guess I never realized that with any of my other pregnancies!

My doctor said it wasn't safe to hear the heartbeat until 12 weeks (something about the Doppler damaging the baby somehow), but they did measure the heartbeat visually and show the little chart on the ultrasound screen. It was cool!

My doctor wasn't able to find it for me to hear until I was almost 11 weeks! I cried. I video taped it lol. I was able to see it at 9 weeks when I had my ultrasound though.

Some will let you hear it, some choose to wait. I didn't get to hear mine at my first appointment, I was 8weeks, but I was able to see it. At my next appointment, I was 13 weeks, I got to hear it and I cried.

Yes you can if you ask your doctor they will prbly show u on the ultrasound machine
