40 soon. ..have I waited too long?

Hi ladies, so DH and I are about to start TTC next month and was just wondering who else started this journey in their 40's and what advice do you have?  Thank you!

I'm going to be 39 this month, TTC #1, I'm also concerned I waited too long but I'm going to give it a good try anyways.

I went to a fertility specialist this week to help me along.

I am 38 and pregnant with #2. My doctor said women are having babies later in life and that we are not to old. He believes 45 may be risky.. Not 40

I feel a bit the same way but I keep reading wonderful stories from women in their late 30's and early 40's . Isn't 40 the new 30? 😅I think it gets complicated 44 -45. For now you are ok. Have you been to see a dr to check everything is ok?   I wish you all the best success! X

Good luck to you!  May I ask what led you to IVF? MD says DH has  good sperm count and I have positive opks and symptoms of ovulation, so hoping we will be successful but know IVF may be necessary.
