My bf is gone in another state with family and working for them for a month and I'm missing him and we aren't fighting as often and stuff but at first when heedt we fought cause we were stressed because we are always together otherwise so it's hard to be apart.

This is hard to answer for me. We're both active duty and we both deploy... 
This past deployment was the longest, 515 days.
It was to the point I was okay being alone and when we finally reunited it felt extremely awkward and that resulted in bickering. I find it just makes us fight more until the other is home again.

I think it does. It helps with communication and also you get a chance to miss that person. It's the little things especially if you guys are with each other all the time.
