Does a Spinal Block hurt?

Gotta get one for my c section and I'm terrified.

No but I was being prepped for an emergency c-section so was having back to back super strong contractions while they were doing it so that might have distracted me from any pain from the spinal block! Lol! X

I was in labor when I had mine. That little poke felt like nothing! She said "you're going to feel a pinch" and I laughed bc I didn't feel anything.

Having a spinal block is the same sensation as an epidural. If this is your first, the worst part of the whole thing is feeling when they scrape bone. It's not a big bad feeling, more awkward and cringey. And sometimes, when the needle pierces into your spinal cord, it can feel like a weird little pop. They are just sensations that you're not used to, but not necessarily painful. Just breathe. :)
