Debt collector

Idk what to do, can anyone please give me advice without being mean or rude? I have an outstanding credit card debt in which I was making $184 payments on until I lost my job. I then told them about it and they were assholes. Now I am working part time making $8.75 an hour until I can find another full time job. A few days ago I spoke with them and they said I could make $25 payments on a reloadable credit card (bc I don't have checks and my debit card rules are a little weird) so since I got paid today, that's what I tried to do. I called the man and he told me "I'm sorry but we did or research on you and we know you have available funds to pay the debt and we can't even take $25 today but you can try to mail it in but I can't guarantee your account will still be here." So I got VERY upset because I'm not lying and they're trying to scare me and make me out to be a liar! I yelled at him and said "that's bullshit because I know I'm broke and you think you can just research shit about me and come up with BS?!" I also started crying and said "do you think I like being broke and my able to pay bills cuz you're wrong!" Anyway so we it in a screaming match , he was a compete dick. I did my research on them as well and there are news reports that apparently they've had employees of theirs pretend to be cops and arrest people! So I brought that up to him and he said "okay goodbye." So I hung up. I'm just so upset. I'm trying to pay them what I can and they won't work with me. There's nothing else I can give them. Now I'm afraid to death that I'm going to get sued. Does anyone have any advice?
