No support from family for cloth diapering?
I made the decision early on (before I was pregnant, if fact) that I would cloth diaper my children. I have many reasons for wanting to do so. My husband has been 100% supportive on this, which I am very happy about. A few of my friends have cloth diapered as well, which boosts my confidence that I can stick with it as well. The only problem is my family. I have a small, very opionated family and none of them seem to think I will stick with it or if I do, I will hybrid diaper with cloth and disposable at best. Today I was talking to my mom and she was saying she was going to start buying disposables because she doubted my commitment and said I would need them when I was out and about. It really hurts me that she doesn't trust that I can commit to something I feel so passionate about. One positive I can think of is this all gives me motivation to cloth diaper nearly 100% of the time, if for no other reason, than to prove everyone wrong! Is anyone else going through something similar?
