TTC after Depo Injection

Has anyone had depo? My last injection was January 2014. We wanted to start TTC so I didn't get it done again. My period only just came back in March 2015. We have been TTC since and keep getting bfn. I've heard it can take up to 2 years for your period to come back and up to 7 years to conceive. Has anyone else heard this? I fell pregnant with my son as soon as I came off the pill. I guess I just thought it would be easy again.

I'm starting to get really down and depressed about it all. :(

I'm going to book in with my doctor in a few weeks to see if there's anything she can do. Just want to hear other people's experiences please.
