Infertility

I have been trying to get pregnant for over a year now. If done everything from ultrasounds to an hsg up to this past couple weeks. Two years ago I had an ectopic and they removed my right tube. I'm getting discouraged because after the hsg came back fine I'm now in the range of ovulation. I woke up this morning and was spotting when I used the bathroom. Bu the ovulation test came back pretty much negative. I'm not sure what to do or how to feel has anyone else spotted during their "ovulation time frame"
