Shorter, lighter periods?!

We've been TTC for 3 months this month. I was on the pill for 12 years, I'm 26 now. I got on the pill originally due to 7 day long, heavy and painful periods. Been off the pill since Feb. and my Dr said my periods would probably revert back to how they were prepill. They have been 29-30 day regular cycles but the last 2 months have been extremely light (not even having to use a tampon, just a panty liner) and only 3 days. On the pill I went through 2-4 tampons a day with a pad a night and they were usually 5 days long. Anyone else experience this?
