Pills and condoms?

Question

How much more protection is given if pills and condoms are doubled up as compared to pills alone (Perfect use)? My boyfriend and I are each other's firsts so there's no risk of STD's, does using both make much difference to their levels of protection?

Combining a hormonal and barrier contraception is rather ideal for pregnancy prevention, but I managed to have a short-lived chemical pregnancy that occurred while taking my pill at the same time every day and my casual partner using a condom. 
Both together are super effective, but there is nothing that is 100%

I have always used both, you can sometimes experience breakthrough ovulation on the pill for no reason and it's not predictable. And sure condoms can break, but if you use them correctly it's very rare. So I feel like the chances of both failing at the same time are smaller than the chance of one of them failing.
