Potty Training Troubles

Hello all! I'm looking for advice on our PT situation.  My daughter is 27 months old and I tried to start PT last Monday. She was not successful all day and had about 10 accidents. She would sit on the potty, not go and then pee her pants 2 minutes later. This went on for 3 days when I decided that maybe she wasn't ready. So we stopped. We tried again yesterday and today and are having the same problems. Today, she did manage to pee on the potty, only to completely wet herself a few minutes later! I'm using starburst and stickers as rewards. Should I stop and try again in a few weeks or keep pushing through? I'm afraid she's starting to resist the potty because it has become so frustrating. We are encouraging when she's close and do not scold when she has accidents. I'm just not sure she's ready. Thanks in advance!
