Has any one ever tried bleaching there hair and if so what color did u put on after that??

I have natural dark brown hair but looks black, I'm wanting to bleach it then dye it burgundy .. Has any one ever did this

Do not bleach and dye red!!! You will get pink hair!!!! You have to keep it bleached for at least a could of days. Then add proteins to your hair and it might turn out red. I would use a professional for the first dye.

Please go to a professional. Don't try to do it yourself. If your hair is that dark, you will end up doing serious damage by using a store bought boxed bleach and it will turn an orange color and burn your hair. It may be more expensive at a salon, but the results will be way more worth it.

I've done it. As long as you do a deep condition afterwards and gets a leave in conditioner your hair won't be completely damaged. My hair was almost black and i bleached it completely blonde the dyed it blue and it's healthier than it's been in a long time

If you want to change your hair that dramatically, you really need to go to a professional. Sometimes it can take multiple applications to bleach your hair enough and if you do it wrong, your hair will break off.

Be careful bleaching then coloring. If your doing the bleach first I would give it a day or so before coloring it bc putting the color in right after can change the color of the dye. :-)

I've done red,pink, auburn more times than I can count, blonde, blue a few times, green and brown. I would say that for a burgundy or red don't worry so much about bleaching all the color out beforehand. It's ok to have some uneven spots or streaks, I actually like having some variation in the bleached out color before I put the dye in so that the color looks more natural and because who doesn't like the pretty golds and reds that come out when you stand in the sun and can see all the color changes.
