I believe God First, marriage second, kids third! Without a happy marriage children can't be happy. God is the foundation of our marriage which helps us work as a team to raise our very happy and smart boys.

I think it really depends on the situation. If your husband is doing things that are not good for your children then definitely put them first. In some cases it's good to support your husband first to show your children that you are a team. Sometimes siding with your kids before your spouse can make him feel undermined and show the kids that it's okay to be disrespectful. Also, if you're constantly giving one more attention than the other it can tend to create tension. Having a blended family can be complicated.

I think they go together... The kids can't come first because it all started with you and your husband, and when the kids grow up and leave it will be you and your husband again... But husband can't come first either, because kids need you... I think you can't just say that someone goes first...

It all started and will eventually end with just your husband, although mines a pretty self sufficient man... I'm guessing my kids will have more daily needs from me than him, but I'll be damned if he ever needed me, I will be there!!!!

Tricky question. Obviously your children need the most care, but if husband is good, he should come first, because he is the foundation of your family and with that strong foundation, your children with be happier. :)
