Sharp pains on left side..

Out of nowhere I got really sharp pains on my left side, I couldn't even move! It came, slightly went away and repeated that for about 20 minutes and now it's gone. I am not bleeding at all, it just scared the crap out of me! Can this be round ligament pain?
