How many days after I missed my period I should take a pregnancy test?

I'm usually on time but since last period I stop taking bc pills because I want a family.  My period supposed to come yesterday but it didn't how many days more should I wait to take a home test? And which brand do you ladies recommend?

Your period doesn't usually follow the exact same schedule when you stop birth control pills. I'd give it a month from when you stopped taking the pills.
