Pregnancy after endometriosis
I will be 32 in September, for as long as I can remember I wanted to be a mother. I dreamt of having a blonde haired, blue eyed boy. When I was 19 I began to experience severe abdominal pain that eventually hospitalized me and had emergency surgery. They removed 34 pounds of adhesions from my abdomen and told me I had endometriosis. I had a second surgery 2 years later. I tried so hard to get pregnant and did 4 years of just about every fertility treatment there is only to be told I had less than a 15% chance at getting pregnant. I was shattered! At 29 I experienced period symptoms for 2 months (extreme cramping, moodiness, and very painful breasts). I finally went to the doctor and was given the wonderful news that I was pregnant. The excitement wore off quickly due to the fact I was in and of the ICU. I was terrified that I was not going to be able to carry my child. At 31 weeks my water broke and was admitted to the hospital where I spent 5 days being induced. The did an emergency c-section. I met the love of my life at 2:22 pm on May 11, 2013. He was 18.25 inches and weighed a mere 4 lbs. But his was mighty, animated, and extremely determined. Thankfully he was healthy, breathing on his own with no deformities (oh his hair is blonde and his eyes are the most beautiful blue ever!).... My husband and I have been trying for another for a year now and I fear I will not be able to give him another miracle. Does anyone have any advice for or insight on endometriosis?
