Acne after stopping pill?

Anyone breakout after stopping birth control? I've never had acne in my life and I'm 26 and my cheeks are covered! How did you get it to calm down?

Oh my gosh, yes! This is happening to me too and I hate it! I'm 26 and have always had great skin, I'm 4 months off the pill and have bumps on my face, chest and shoulders. I've been putting off going to the dermatologist because most acne medications aren't safe for pregnancy. I'm seeing my OBGYN next week to get her opinion! I've got to do something! I may mention the medication she talked about in her post!

Yes!! It wasn't bad as in everywhere but I started developing adult female acne again around my mouth, it was deep and painful but not cystic.  Adult acne is very different than the acne you develope as a teen.  My dermatologist gave me a common prescription antibiotic used to treat adult acne and it works very well! It's cephalexin, it shrinks and blocks the the bacteria but is in my case gentle on my stomach and very little side affects. I just take azo yeast probiotic pill to ensure I don't get any unwanted yeast infections.
