Protein in urine?

Ok so I have GD and I'm 25 weeks I was diagnosed with GD since 15weeks?  So I've been seeing the doc every 2 weeks to monitor sugar, lately I've noticed on my lab work that I have traces of protein in my urine. Sometimes it says protein 1+ my doctor checks my BP every visit of course and has already been checking for swelling? But hasnt mentioned anything about the protein. Should I be concerned? Besides feeling sick sometimes due to my sugar levels should I be looking for any preeclampsia symptoms too?
