Anyone had an ectopic pregnancy? What does it feel like??

Just today I've been having some heavy cramping on my right side and some belly pain. Feels a little different than my normal gas/constipation cramps, and it's making me nervous. Wondering from any of you who've experienced ectopic pregnancies, what did your symptoms feel like?

Thanks for all the info ladies. My midwife said based on symptoms and how far along I am she's not concerned about ectopic and things it's probably ligament pain. This is my third baby but I didn't really know it can get worse each pregnancy, my last one was fairly easy. I'm sorry you all went through that though!

I had pain that made me feel like I needed to stretch to get it to go away. Pretty painful sharp pain on my right side... I also had heavy bleeding. By the time I got to the ER I had internal bleeding and had to undergo surgery to get the baby and my right Fallopian tube removed. It wasn't as painful as I had expected it to be. Definitely recommend you go to your doctor. It can be life threatening if you catch it too late.

Mine started as a dull pain on my right side then slowly grew to a pain I couldn't tolerate. went to 1 Dr in Lubbock, TX and he said baby was fine. Next day I was in the er in my hometown having seizures from blood loss. Wasn't bleeding out at all, was all internal. Lost half of my blood. Got 4 units in emergency surgery. Dr's said they didn't think I was going to make it. My shoulders were hurting really bad too.

At the beginning of my pregnancy I always had pain on the right side. That's how I knew I ovulated from the right side. For a while she was only ever on the right side, that's where she was during ultrasounds and where they heard her heartbeat with the Doppler. If you were having an ectopic pregnancy you would know. They're really painful. Have you been to the doctor yet? They should have done an ultrasound to make sure the baby was in your uterus and not in your Fallopian tube. And to date it.
