Gaining too much weight?

Question

Anyone gain more than you should the first trimester? I have been so sick with this pregnancy and the other thing that makes my stomach feel better is keeping it full. I'm 12weeks and have gained 8lbs, doesn't seem like a lot but the nurse said something to me about watching what I eat.

I feel the same way I'm 9 weeks and gained about 5 pounds and my doctor went nuts on me. I am hungry all the time I can't help it my stomach growls even when I eat carb dense or protein dense food.

I hear you!! I am 10 weeks and I gained 8 lbs!! The worst part is that it was all in 3 weeks when I was so nauseous and sick that I had to keep eating to help with the nausea.  Of course it was mostly carbs, however I wasn't eating any junk and managed to also fit it a lot of healthy foods!! I was so upset after that appointment and felt so defeated... I mean what was I suppose to do?! Now I'm suppose to only try to gain 2 lbs in the next two weeks.  I'm only 5'2 and usually weigh 115, but my pre-pregnancy weight was 120.   I don't know....I feel you!
