This world scares the hell out of me, you too?

I watch the news everyday after work for an hour. In that hour I switch between two or three news channels and all of them terrify me!

Someome robbed this person, drunk driver kills family, ISIS, flooding/natural disasters, mother killed her children, someone shot and killed 9 people in a church...I need to move underground.

That's exactly why I don't watch the news anymore. Very rarely is there anything positive on there!!

Unfortunate our news outlets show and report terrible happenings around the country and toss out all of the beautiful things that happen. It can get you down and scare you, you just have to remember where there is bad there is good. Good people do exist, they just aren't getting the credit they deserve.

living underground sounds good but I'd miss the sun! lol but I agree with you. I stopped watching the news for awhile but then felt like I was clueless, so I started just reading it online. skipping over the headlines that I find scary or just reading a little to get the jest of it. I don't want to be scared but I also don't want to be clueless and not know anything that's going on in the world.

I won't watch the news anymore because I get anxiety. Climate change is scaring me a lot right now because we have done so much irreversible damage to our planet and now we are getting a lot of extreme weather. It's all scary so sometimes ignorance is bliss.

I try to stick to local news so I only hear about the continuous rapes and murders in my own town. I'll be happy when things are good again.
