Evening primrose oil??

Question

Has anyone had any negative side effects with taking EPO?? I've read you can start taking it orally at 34 weeks to help soften cervix. Does anyone have any feelings or experience with this?

I took it with my first pregnancy but only got to 3 cm then my water broke (yay) and now I'm taking it again orally and vaginally and I lost my mucus plug today and one cm dilated so I'm waiting! Hopefully it happens soon! I would love a Father's Day baby lol

I started taking it at 36 weeks (orally) and at my 38 week appointment my OB said I was "a strong 2cm dilated". 
After my appointment on Monday, if I haven't gone into labor I'm going to start to insert them.
