Peeing cleans out the urethra. You DON'T want semen in there.  The sperm is already on its way toward the egg by the time you make it to the bathroom, so it's also perfectly fine to shower and wash down there, and yes, the semen will drip out of your vagina, and that's ok too. :)

If you don't understand the female anatomy there might be issues, I don't think that's what she was suggesting, obviously there are 3 holes. Lol! And yes the UTI thing is important. I was thinking more along the lines of once you stand up gravity causes it to run out. If you're ttc most advice is you should lay there for a good 20min. So getting up to pee right away might decrease the amount that could swim up stream.
