What are chances of a 3rd miscarriage?

Ive already had 2 early miscariages. The first was at 9 weeks and te second was only 3-4 weeks. What are the chances of a 3rd?
Im afraid to even get excited or tell anyone about this pregnancy bc im probably just going to lose it anyways

If your doctor has ruled that there is no real cause, it's 25% each time, but they statistically  compound, so the math would look like (1/4) x (1/4) x (1/4). So the odds of you having a noncausal mc your third time is (1/64) or 1.5% chance.  This is why at 3 consecutive Mcs they start looking for cause, those are some slim odds.

I can't remember the exact statistics, but I hope I can make you feel a bit better. I had my first mc at 6 weeks along. My second at 12w6d. Then 6 months after my 2nd mc I fell pregnant again and was instantly paranoid, but I had a beautiful baby boy at 38 weeks pregnant :) my third time lucky. Best of luck for you.

It's a bitter sweet thing... When I found out I was pregnant I terrified. I had my second miscarriage in picturem October and got pregnant in February. I hated myself for not letting enough time pass. Emotionally I wasn't ready yet, and was so scared again for it to be another miscarriage. We never told anybody that we were pregnant. Even at 10 Wks I was scared to loose it. My husband and I would just be paranoid. We finally told our families on mother's day. I'm 18 Wks so far and things seem to be going well. There isn't a way to predict if you'll miscarry again. Just have hope that things will play out as it needs too!! Wish u the best luck!!

I went through the exact same thing! 9 week miscarriage in Oct and a 5 week I'm Feb. Both ripped my heart in half and when I became pregnant with the third I was dreading the plus sign on the stick. My Dr tested me for blood clotting issues and now I take progesterone daily and a baby aspirin daily as well, and I'm 13.1 weeks today! Good luck, talk to your Dr asap so you can do something!

My doc told me one mc is not related to another, so in other words just bc you have one doesn't mean you will have another. He said there are so many factors that contribute to a mc that you can't say bc you have one you will have another.
