So I had a c section because I wasn't dilating past 1cm after 24 hours of labor and I was wondering even though I didn't have a vaginal birth is it normal for my vagina to still hurt after birth? I'm 6 weeks post partum and my SO and I tried to have sex but it hurt a lot when he went in like it felt like my vagina was inflamed/irritated. Now during labor when they kept checking my cervix my vagina was hurting excruciatingly for them to try checking to the point where I was crying and they tested to see if I had a yeast infection or anything and it all came back negative. Another thing to take note on is that inserting my fingers or like my vibrator does not hurt its just my SO and its only when his penis goes in further like the tip doesn't hurt its only when it gets down to the base. I have an appointment with my doctor coming up so of course I'm going to ask but I just wanted to see if anyone had some helpful and encouraging advice. I'm worried I'll never be able to have sex again.
