Oxycodone during pregnancy?

My doctors prescribed this for my migraines and said its a category B and totally safe to take during pregnancy. It still kinda freaks me out since it's a pain killer. Anyone else had experience with this during pregnancy? Thanks!

Vicodin is surprisingly safer than other drugs like ibuprofen. The molecules are too big to pass through the placenta. Doc prescribe it to pregnant women often, but it can be addictive and it's not a good plan for long term pain relief

I was given Tylenol and codeine #3 for a pain reliever (which is a category c) after a procedure. Was told that my baby just may move less. I only took one cause that's all I needed. I would definitely have felt more comfortable with oxy being a category b, but they don't like giving out oxy. I wouldn't worry about it too much especially if you're out of the first trimester. If you need it you need it. Many people need to take things that are category c which is worse just to get through their pregnancies.

There are no class A drugs for use in pregnancy so B is as good as you're going to get safety wise

I'm on hydros for my gallbladder attacks and passing the stones. They said as long as you don't take to much then your baby should be okay. I got the hydros cause it's safer than surgery as I was 33 weeks pregnant I am now 36+

I would have to check but I don't think category B means "totally safe" during pregnancy.

I'm comfortable takin class A and B during pregnancy. Staying away from C and higher.
