I came across an article not to long ago about a woman who was 8 months pregnant. During an argument with her SO she held a gun(which she said she thought wasn't loaded) up to her stomach and threatened to pull the trigger. She claims that she was only trying to make her SO mad. Her SO tried taking the gun off of her but it went off and her unborn baby was killed. The article stated she wasn't at that time being charged with crimes against her unborn child, only charges for having the gun(I can't remember if because she is a felon or the gun wasnt registered). Do unborn babies really have no rights in such a circumstance? Curious to see what others think and maybe what laws they are aware of regarding something like this.
