Is sex ever going to get better

I'm 11 pp today and I just started having sex with my husband again. I know it took a long time but I waited 6 weeks like Drs said and then j had hernia surgery in my groin week 6 and I had a 4 week recovery of no strenuous activity. Not to mention I had a huge incision. Anywho, I've been slowly getting back in the saddle and we've been using lots of lube and it still isn't feeling all that great.  Is this just me or are any other women experiencing this? I didn't have any major tearing or anything like that. It just feels like punching. Once we get going it gets better but initially, oh my, it hurts!
