Not telling in-laws I'm expecting until 25 weeks ??

We like to tell family were expecting in person. I will be seeing them at 9 weeks and 25 weeks. I'd rather wait till later ... Bad idea?

I would wait..... My family will only know around 19 weeks..... I prefer it that way...., i just dont like announcing big news....... If it was me i would wait untill they would notice the belly.... Or once i'd have given birth since i live far away.... But i guess thats exagerated lol

I told my in laws at 9 weeks. I did not want his mom finding out from someone else.

We wanted to tell in person as well but as the weeks ticked by we were terrified that they would find out from someone else. We ended up telling them around 10 weeks by sending them a cute onsie in the mail announcing the due date.

That's a very long time to wait. And, could they end up finding out from someone else?? I know the feeling of wanting to wait a while to tell (we waited until almost 2nd trimester) but 25 weeks is quite late and I could see them being offended or finding out from someone else. I'd probably just tell them early and not to share the news until you're farther along, or Skype/FaceTime when you're ready to share the news.
