BPM wives tale. Any truths?

So I've heard that if your baby's heart rate is over 140 bmp then it's a girl and under 140 it's a boy. Has anyone had any truth from this? Did the sex of their baby relate to the heartbeat?

Nope, no truth to it at all. They've done studies on it. There's no truth to almost all the old wives tales.

The only one that's been a little bit proven has been the link between heartburn and how much hair baby has. And that's not 100% correlation, only about 75%.

My baby boy has been above 140 since 6 weeks. Started at 163, now at 18 weeks it's 145.

My baby boys heart rate was above 170 until about 13 weeks, it's been around 150 since then, so no, there's no truth in it I'm afraid! Each baby is different :)

My first boy was always 140s. Preggo with boy #2 right now and his heart rate has been 160s since the beginning. Just had an appointment yesterday at 22 weeks 1 day and heart rate was 167.
