Thirsty

Kim
I'm 17w5d and I'm soooo thirsty. I drink like a gallon of water a day and it's not helping. I can't drink a whole bottle of water and 15 minutes later feel like I'm going to die of thirst. Anyone else?!

What out for that, I would mention it to your doctor. It could be a sign of diabetes, I mean I know pregnancy does weird things, but that's a sign of diabetes also. With me I use to drink a ton and since pregnancy I have to force myself most days to get 2 liters in.

I heard that if you are thirsty all of the time, it could be a sign of diabetes. I don't want to scare you, but you should definitely talk to your doctor about this as soon as possible. Best of luck to you.

I've always drank a lot of water but this is different. I'm thirsty even after I drink 1-2 bottles of water! Ugh I'll call me doctor this week.

I had this when I was pregnant with my daughter. I wod even wake up several times a night just so I can quench my thirst.

I know I drink more water, just because I want to be healthy for the baby. You could just be becoming more healthy, subconsciously for the baby. It could also just be the heat and outdoors, if you sweat a lot, you have to replace the water you lost.

I had moments of huge crazy thirst, but it was sporadic. I think it should be a cause for concern if this happens on a regular basis. It could be a sign of diabetes.

I would certainly ask. But it's not going to hurt if you drink a gallon of water a day, as long as you're drinking it in moderation at a time. There could also be a vitamin deficiency, maybe. But ask your doctor.
