C section advice?

I'm having a scheduled c section, and I was just wondering if there was any advice from moms who have had c sections. I'm nervous about it, and I am looking for some POSITIVE advice and tips. Thank you! 😊

I had an emergency cs and a planned cs and my planned cs was soo much easier and I was up walking 4 hours later and my baby is almost 2 weeks old and I feel wonderful, I stopped taking pain killers 4 days after the surgery! It's painful at first but seriously it's not terrible.. I was released from the hospital on a Friday and my husband went back to work that same Sunday and I could take care of myself and 2 daughters fine! The worse part of my whole surgery was getting the spinal block! I hope you have a good experience like I did! Good luck!!

I took my own pads and an extra pillow. I also took arnica tablets straight away after and for the following weeks. They help heal bruising and internal injury and it helped me heal great you get them in any health store
Don't be afraid to ask for some help and certainly take it easy, the last thing you want is infection etc. Keep your scar clean and dry and bring big underwear so it will go over the scar and not sit on it!! 
Other than that I'd say follow doctors advice and enjoy meeting your little one x

Get up and walk when you can. Listen to your body but try to stay
Mobile...standing,sitting, walking around because it makes the recovery faster and better. I walked up and down the hall of the hospital after my c section and didn't need to take any meds at all by the time I went home.
Do be careful twisting and turning in the beginning. Best of luck to you!

Take a small pillow everywhere with you, put it against your lower belly when you giggle, cough, sneeze. 
Blow dry your steri strips. 
If you are a bigger girl, put a panty liner at the top of your panties, covering the edge then rest that against your scar. 
Walk as soon as you can, and as often, but not too much. 
Shower as soon as the staff will let you. It will make a huge difference.

Everyone's advice is pretty good just know you will most likely be constipated after because it's kind of hard to push to go to the bathroom so you may want to increase your fiber or have some type of stool softener or laxative after

Also, for me...

I took my own always pads and wore my own dark panties at the hospital. I can't stand the mesh ones, or the crib mattress size pads.

I went thru a pad per hour the first 2 days by the 4th day it was panty liners for another 4 days then nothing.
