Clomid cause me to ovulate early?

I normally ovulate day 15 or 16. This is my first round of Clomid and I just got a positive opk on cycle day 13. Is it normal to ovulate early while on Clomid? Is it possible to get false positives with opk? Any insight is appreciated :)

Clomid has been known to lengthen your luteal phase so it could just start earlier and last longer than normal. That's one of the ways that it helps you get pregnant :) makes it last longer, making your chances more significant. Good luck!

Opks detect an lh surge, which happens before ovulation. Usually u ovulate 12-24 hrs after a positive test, so u would still b ovulating during ur normal time
