Correct time frame for anatomy scan?

I will be 17 + 2 on the day our scan is scheduled. Not sure if I need to change it to a later date. Or am I being overly cautious?

They wouldn't let me schedule before 20

Ur doctor probably didnt realize he or she will probably reschedule it...thats what they did to me

They can possibly see but it may not be as accurate as 20 weeks but usually anatomy scans start at 18 wks

Our office does them between 18 and 20 weeks, but our ultrasound techs prefer to do them around 19-20 weeks because they get more accurate information.

Not sure if it's different for multiples but I am having twins and my maternal fetal medicine doc scheduled my anatomy scan for 16 week and 5 days for me. They said anytime after 16 weeks they can do it.

By 16 weeks the genitals are formed. Your fine.

Honestly I think a lot of it has to do with the quality of equipment. My OB office has the best ultrasound technology in the region. I think because it's the only high-risk office in the region so it's vital they get a good picture. Mine was done at 18 weeks 3 days and looked beautiful. But I've seen some around that time frame that looked fuzzy and just unclear.
