Baby measuring ahead.. Will he come sooner?

I know I should have asked the doctor this while i was still in the office but i was just wondering.... I am 31 weeks FTM and he measured me at 33 weeks today. Does that mean baby will most likely come sooner than 40 weeks? Or just that he's a big boy? Thanks in advance 😊

Not necessarily. I've been measuring ahead and there's not one sign of him coming. I'm 39 weeks. I'm being induced next week.

Think of it as the baby is already born and is getting weighed etc. And is In the  50th percentile which is average anything above 50 is above average but it doesn't bump them anywhere they are just bigger than most children in their age group. So just cause baby is  measuring a little bit bigger compared to others it doesn't necessarily mean the baby will come sooner however it could also mean your due date is off it really depends on all your other statics so you will have to talk to your doctor about it.

It's really just an estimation. At 36 weeks my gal measured a little over 38 weeks. Now I'm almost 39 weeks and there's no sign of her yet. They keep telling me she's really long and chubby but then they say they can be off by +/- a pound - that's a lot!! All I know is if she's not a big gal when she comes out I'm going to have some explaining to do as I'm currently 3 pounds over my max possible weight gain - oops lol
