To early?

I am going to be 15 weeks on August 2... Aug 6 is when my dr is going to look and try to see if it's a girl or boy. My due date is Jan 23 and I kind of want to do my baby shower before the holidays come, is mid September to early?

I would do your shower when you want. I had my daughter very early first time around and we had to reschedule her shower. This time around I will be having it between 25-30 weeks!

You can do it whenever you want :). From what I've heard and read people either wait because a. they are confirming the baby will be ok, b. they want to know definite gender, c. they have a bigger bump, or d. just because of tradition. So really if you don't care about those things it really doesn't matter at all. I'm due in December and doing my baby shower mid September because I want to be able to make sure ai have everything for the baby without having to rush, and have time to do any returns if I need to. If you are worried about it too I'd say early November would be a good idea But I'd start planning, or let whoever is planning it know now.

Originally my dr wasn't going to tell me til 28 weeks and I'm gonna be 35 weeks at Xmas. So I agree with you not wanting to do it to holiday time. I'm now having my gender ultrasound  at 17 weeks and having my baby shower at 24 weeks

It's kinda a loose loose. My first was due jan 6th and I didn't want to do it too early but then you run into holiday budgets and vacations. Some people just didn't come and others gave me silly dollar store stuff instead of stuff I needed because my baby shower just wasn't in the holiday budget. So knowing what I know now I would say early... If anyone says anything about it just explain you don't want to interfere with holidays. I would say end of October is a good time .
