My LO is 6 days old and we have been having problems with latching from the beginning. My nipples were so sore and he was having to work so hard at each feeding because of poor latch that we were feeding pretty often. I just bought a nipple shield today and oh my god, what a lifesaver! It's first use was the first time I nursed without being in pain! And LO got the milk he needed without having to work so hard! Happy baby, happy mommy!
