Telling my boss?? Lifting

I just found im pregnant yesterday. I lift about 2 to 5 50lbs bags at work everyday. I don't think I'm ready to tell my boss, but if I don't tell her I won't have an excuse to not lift the bags. I've being doing this job for almost 3 years. Is it ok to lift these bags or should I just bite the bullet and tell my boss?

Talk to your doctor and get a note if it isn't okay. My best friend lifted and continued pretty hard stuff until she week she delivered, but her doc said she was healthy enough to do so as long as she took frequent breaks and listened to her body.

Please talk to your doctor before you freak out or make any decisions. My doctor would say it's fine since you're clearly capable and have been doing it for so long - as long as you listen to your body. Call and ask if your appointment isn't for a while. Everyone has very different circumstances. Generally speaking miscarriages are not a result of physical activity....

Normally as long has there's no problems you can keep doing all of your normal activities. But ask dr. To be on the safe side and then tell the boss if it's a problem. Also you should tell your boss as soon as possible so you can find out your company's policy on maternity leave.

My dr told me in the early stages not to life anything over 30 pounds..so I wouldn't..u don't want to miscarry

Check with your doc. My doc said lifting isn't going to cause a miscarriage. Especially if you've already been doing it. But definitely check with your doc first.

No don't lift them! I had been working in a heavy lifting job and I continued and had a miscarriage which I honestly put down to the heavy lifting.  Tell your boss - they can't tell anyone else and have to work around you.
