I am new to the military lifestyle. It's come up a few times on other boards, in discussions with my military spouse, and in comments people have made to me in person. ((A family member who is married to a retired enlisted USAF member who made a HUGE production (and made me extremely uncomfortable in front of their retired spouse and a large portion of my own spouses family) for being an officers spouse.)) My spouse is prior enlisted and I have not seen a huge change in their personality, behavior or treatment of myself or others.
