Never get a positive OPK?

Question

My hubby(31) and I (26) have been TTC baby #1  for 10 months.

I normally have 20-25 day cycles.

The past 3 months I've been using digital opks,  on CD 6 I would get a low reading. Then on CD 7-11 I would get high readings....never peak.

Normally I stop testing by CD 11 because those sticks are $$$. I have tried using regular dipsticks but those things are just so hard to read...the test line never gets as dark as the control.

So my question is, is there something wrong with me if I'm not getting peak ovulation? Do I have PCOS?

Answer

When we were trying for our first. I would go 3 consecutive months with no period and wasn't getting any positive ovulation tests either.  I went to my doctor and he said, that I do not ovulate on a regular basis. I did not realize that you can have a period and not ovulate and vice versa. I took Clomid and became pregnant on the second cycle.  We are now trying for our second and it's looking like I may need the Clomid to help me along.
