How long after you found out you were 2cm dilated did you go into labor?

I just left the doctor and found out I am 2cm dilated. I am 35+3. We were suppose to drive two hours from where we are having baby tomorrow to move and I was planning on staying up there for a week, then coming back and staying with family until baby was due. Now I'm not so sure if that is a good idea! How long was it before you went into labor when finding out you were 2cm dilated. Would love some feedback!

Everybody is different there really is no telling especially if it's your first. I would stay close if that's an option just because I worry about everything and would want to be close just in case

I went to hospital at 23w6d preg, was 100% effaced and 2 cm dilated. Currently now at 32w2d and the same but not my membranes ruptured this past Saturday (32 weeks). ----is just see what your doctor recommendes. I've been on hospital bedrest since then.

With my second I was dialted at a 3 for close to a month and still ended up going a day over my due date.

You can be dilated anywhere from a 1-3 for several weeks before active labor starts.
