Pain in lower stomach - advice please

I am 5 months pregnant with my first baby and for the past 7 days I have had a constant pain in my lower LEFT abdomin. It's just under my belly about an inch from my hip bone. It all started the night of my anatomy scan. I went to the dr who told me its just Round Ligament Pain. I know what that feels like, when you sneeze, cough, get up to fast... This seems to be that same pain but constant and gets worse throughout the day. And I mean constant, never stops. It hurts to do anything, lay down, sit, stand, move things, climb stairs, step over anything, breath and even just walking in general. Pretty much anything that has to do with lifting my left leg. I would have brushed it off if it were a day or two but I'm really concerned and the Drs just keep brushing it off. Have any of you ever had something similar?
