Weird question, okay for those who are pregnant or have been. When you went in for your appointments, did you have to pee in a cup every time?

I think it's crazy to do that everytime. Especially since they charge you.. Well me atleast

It's to make sure you don't have protein in your pee. It's early warning for things like preeclampsia

Every single time! They don't even tell me to go donut anymore, I just walk in and leave a sample haha

I'm glad they do it every time. There's so much weird stuff going on with my body that it's hard to know what's normal.

They test for proteins and sugars in the urine. It alerts them to early problems

I have to every time so they can check my hydration, and a bunch of other stuff. I think they said iron, vitamins, and some other stuff. Luckily my insurance covers everything though

Yep..every single time. I even had to do it when I went to discuss having a VBAC with a new doctor. They're checking for proteins and sugar in the urine.

I've only had to do one at the beginning to test for clamidia.  And when I went to labor and delivery for leaking. I am 31 weeks. I didn't realize most people got tested so often....
