Negative blood groups

Miranda • I have a gorgeous three year old girl.
I went to my GP today to get blood test results and learnt that as I have a negative blood group I must go to emergency for any bleeding or spotting throughout the pregnancy. I had spotting last week so I am now waiting for test results as to whether this is an issue. When the mother is rh- and the father has a positive blood group this can cause issues in future pregnancies as the mothers blood may create antibodies to the babies blood. For those having their first baby - make sure you know you, and your partners blood group just in case you need an antibody injection. I don't want to alarm anyone, but educate. If I'd know last week this could be an issue I would have been able to go to emergency as needed.
