Are my OPK's wrong?

Hi everyone, I'm starting to get a bit confused with my ovulation predictor kits so hopefully someone has some advice!! According to Glow and Free Menstrual Calendar, I should be in my fertile week right now with ovulation Friday (31 July). I have definite EWCM since today, and am literally wanting to leave work early to DTD lol - basically I definitely feel like I'm about to ovulate. As recommended by my OPK instructions, I started testing a few days ago but the results are confusing, as the line is getting lighter instead of darker. Are the tests wrong or is this suggesting that I won't ovulate this month!? 😳 I'm using kits off Amazon that had lots of good reviews. Any thoughts?! Thank you!!

Same is happening to me too ! O day is between today and tomorrow and i strongly feel like its today. So im holding my pee and testing 4 times today.

You also should start testing right after your cycle. Glow predicted I ovulate a week after my period. But when I started testing the day after, I found out I was ovulating 2 days after my period, completely missing it all together.

What could be happening is that when you are testing, you may have just missed the window for your surge; I've heard the surge can last as little as 4 hours. If you are testing once a day, and have a small window to catch the surge, that may be why the lines are getting lighter and not darker.

That's not to say you aren't ovulating, you may just not have caught the actual surge on the test. Your best bet is to BD while you have the EWCM. I'm really starting to hate the OPKs bc I feel like I never catch my surge, only right before or right after. I'm thinking of just ditching them all together and just listening to my body and using my app predictions.

Haha ok so what this means is that I'll be using a lot more OPK's then!! It never occurred to me that I might be ovulating that soon after my cycle!! Guess I gotta get my act together and really DTD every other day... All month long !!
